Liesbet Diestelmans is the driving force behind Pro4Paws.
Pro4Paws is part of Hof ter Schommen, which she has been running with her husband for over 10 years.
In the early years of her career, she combined teaching with working for a firm specializing in orthopedic devices for humans. Because teaching took more and more time and the combination was no longer possible, she went into education for good. She enjoys teaching the students about her passion, the students are taught the theory of orthotics, and Liesbet also teaches them the tricks of the orthopedic profession in practice.
When she is not working, Liesbet likes to focus on her horses and their movement, education and training. It started with one shetland in the backyard and now there are five horses that each need their specific attention. Her love for dogs soon led to two dogs helping her with the outside work. These two also enjoy the moments inside when preparing lessons.
This passion for her animals gave Liesbet a unique opportunity to teach in the animal care department. There she passes on all her knowledge about horses to the second year students, from basic care to veterinary assistant actions.
Pro4Paws has grown from the knowledge she has gained with her own animals and the knowledge of orthopedics.
